8th Annual Conference of Georgian Mechanical Union

The 8th Annual Conference of Georgian Mechanical Union was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) within the framework of 2017 International Science and Innovation Festival. The event was dedicated to the 110th birth anniversary of Academician Ilia Vekua. Deputy Rector of TSU, Mikheil Chkhenkeli attended the opening ceremony.
The event was organized by Ilia Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics at TSU and Tbilisi International Center of Mathematics and Informatics.
The main purpose of the conference is to promote further maintenance and deepening of relations between Georgian and foreign scientists, to train young scientists and promote the implementation of projects funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
