7 February, 2017
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the Competition Agency signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on February 6. The memorandum was signed by Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Head of the Agency, Nodar Khaduri.

“We will cooperate in a lot of directions. It is the first memorandum signed with the state agency and we suppose that many other agencies will get involved in similar activities. An internship program is interesting for us and we welcome it; it will promote student employment and development of their practical skills. This program will be mutually beneficial to all parties,” Rector Sharvashidze said.

Nodar Khaduri, head of the Competition Agency, said that “it is a very important day for the agency, because it signed the first memorandum with the Tbilisi State University.” “It is a mutually beneficial agreement, because it envisages the use of TSU capacities in terms of developing competition in the country, as well as the use of the agency’s capacities for improving TSU professors’ research, also in the direction of student internships and their professional growth,” Khaduri said.

According to the memorandum, the parties shall implement joint measures, scientific and educational projects, promote professional development of students and preparation of qualified staff. TSU and the Competition Agency will plan joint projects, workshops, conferences, training courses; participate in developing and implementing various educational and practical events. Successful students will undergo internships at the agency. The memorandum was signed on the sideline of the TSU anniversary events.
