University College Dublin Delegation Visits TSU

University College Dublin delegation visited Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) on January 17. Rector of TSU, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Deputy Rector of TSU, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with Professor Andrew Deeks, President of University College Dublin; Aisling Tiernan, Regional Manager Middle East and North Africa at University College Dublin; Prof. David FitzPatrick, Principal, UCD College of Engineering & Architecture, and Nino Chelidze, Executive Director of International Education Center.

The participants of the meeting discussed future relations between Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and University College Dublin. Two students from TSU left for Ireland to undergo studies at University College Dublin during the 2016/2017 spring semester within the framework of the EU-funded Erasmus+ scholarship. As a result of negotiations with University College Dublin, the Irish side plans to apply to the National Agency for Erasmus+ funding 2017/2019.  

After the meeting, the delegation attended a rehearsal of TSU Gordela, a female folklore group formed at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
