TSU, Poti Mayor’s Office Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

The Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and the Mayor’s Office of Poti signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on February 3.
The memorandum was signed by TSU Rector, Academician Vladimer Papava and Mayor of Poti, Irakli Kakulia.

TSU Rector Vladimer Papava said that “the relationship with regions is one of the priorities of the Tbilisi State University. Poti is not an ordinary city; it is Georgia’s marine gateway and cultural center. The memorandum enables us to use our resources for this city; our youth will have more opportunities to get involved in everyday life of Poti and young people from Poti will be able to get more information about us, about the perspectives offered by TSU.”

“The memorandum with the Tbilisi State University is very important for the city of Poti. It will help young people choose their own paths,” Mayor of Poti, Irakli Kakulia said.

According to the memorandum, the parties will plan and implement joint events aimed at promoting education of new generations and encouraging their creative potential; the parties will carry out various educational, public, cultural and sport events.
